Why Quality Control Matters in Toilet Seat Manufacturing A toilet seat may seem like a simple product, but it must withstand daily use for 5-10 years while maintaining its appearance and function. At Jell Group, we've developed a 12-point inspection system that catches defects before they reach our customers. Our 12-Point Quality Inspection System 1. Raw Material Verification Every incoming MDF board is tested for: Density uniformity (720-780 kg/m³) Moisture content (8-10%) Formaldehyde emission (E1 standard: ≤0.124 mg/m³) Surface smoothness (Ra ≤ 6.3μm) 2. CNC Cutting Accuracy After CNC routing, we verify: Overall dimensions (±0.3mm tolerance) Corner radius consistency Edge perpendicularity Hinge hole positioning (±0.2mm) 3. Surface Preparation Before coating, surfaces are inspected for: Sanding marks or scratches Dust particles Edge chips or tear-out Moisture spots 4-6. Coating Process Controls During the UV coating process: Film thickness: 80-120μm per coat (measured with digital gauge) Adhesion test: Cross-cut tape test (Grade 0-1 required) Hardness: Pencil hardness test (minimum 2H) Gloss level: 60° gloss meter reading (85-95 GU for high-gloss) 7-8. Assembly Verification Hinge assembly checks include: Soft-close timing (3-5 seconds from 90° to closed) Hinge alignment (no lateral play) Screw torque (2.5 Nm ± 0.3) Quick-release function test 9-10. Durability Testing Sample units from each batch undergo: Cycle test: 50,000 open/close cycles Load test: 150kg static load for 1 hour Chemical resistance: Common household cleaners (24h exposure) UV aging: 500 hours accelerated UV exposure 11. Visual Inspection 100% visual inspection under standardized lighting: Color consistency (ΔE ≤ 1.5 within batch) Surface defects (no pinholes, runs, or orange peel) Print alignment (for patterned seats) Overall appearance grade (A/B/C classification) 12. Packaging Inspection Final packaging checks: Correct model/color in correct box Installation hardware complete Instruction manual
